The Fall 2022 Welcome Party was held on September 14th to greet GCIT students as they settle in on campus and join our warm family. Over 50 new GCIT students from the Fall Semester, seniors from the Spring Semester, faculty, and staff gathered at XinChuan 95, a café remodeled from an old university garage, to enjoy a cozy night together with refreshments and laughter.

Prof. Mei-Ling HSU, Program Director of the Master's Program in Global Communication and Innovation Technology (GCIT), kickstarted the party with a greeting speech. She extended the warmest welcome to the diverse GCIT community from all around the world, including Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong, Belgium, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Ukraine and Vietnam. Without a doubt, the cultural diversity and interdisciplinary nature of the program will encourage students to actively exchange views on new media and

Followed by the welcoming speeches, students and faculty partnered up and got to know each other in a lively and interactive self-introduction session. Pairs of participants were invited to come to the stage and share fun facts about one another. This was a great opportunity for students to mingle and meet new friends before classes begin.

On this occasion, the GCIT office also arranged a special lucky draw. Surprising prizes sponsored by Prof. Wen-Hung LIAO and the GCIT office were given to lucky winners. Filled with joy and excitement, the party attendees embarked on a new adventure at NCCU. We wish that all GCIT students will have a happy and fruitful study life this school year.
